I think I know what the answer will be with my latest little baby that was a non goer. I think you are going to tell me it is not original? But I like it anyway. It is so maneuverable, lite, & my first GV150 responded to my servicing by starting! Oo how I love it when they start! [Linked Image]

Ur spot on. Its not original but funny enough I see people putting honda motors on these bases all the time. Its a supa swift base the catcher is a metal side mount one but would be gard to find a good one these days. The original engine would of most likely been a villiers 2 stroke torque master

Yes, definitely one from the Swift Brothers.
The fact that the Supa-Swift name is not cast in this particular base makes me think this
may have been a store brand machine.

Because these utility Swifts were in production throughout the 1960s, it appears
that a number of engines were offered, including Briggs, Villiers and Kirby.
[Note: even the Villiers Lightweigh 4-stroke was used on the 'Tudor']

All very Swift.
