gmax I have three of them now along with about 5 Atco cylinder mowers ranging from 14" to 20" models. The Villiers motors sound even better than the 125cc victa's but then again the first victa's came out with the villiers engine.

That sounds great! mine sounds the same except every 10-15 seconds there is a big backfire and thats when I blow the muffler gasket.

Joe is the exhaust plate carbonise up causing back pressure. Check the bottom plate as it has a slot to release the carbon and it could be partly blocked up or the gasket is not on correctly.
