Hi Scott4571, what a great score mate, it's a little ripper. I can't give you any info on the frame and base, but I can tell you that the engine is a 3.6HP BMS engine, manufactured by Boundy Manufacturing in Victoria and was also used on the 1955 Lawn Cub mowers. Hopefully more info will come to light for you. again on a good score!

Very interesting, the wheels are marked Brisbane Queensland and the tank is the same as the one used on the Gold Cheetah outboard made by BMS. I would say that Boundy did manufacture these Pathfinder mowers and supplied them to the big stores. Just edited my post to include some pics of the tyres, made by Olympic Products with the John Boundy name on them. There was an Olympic Products in Robinson Road Zillmere where these tyres were probably made and supplied to Boundy in Brisbane.
If the Engine, fuel tank and wheels were Boundy then I am satisfied that the complete mower is their own product.
I have one of these mowers in really good nick. However the fuel tank in missing after having been loaned to someone by the previous owner. I was wondering whether you could do me a favor and give me the dimensions of your tank please.
It's mainly the circumference I am after. I also have a Boundy Lawn Patrol and the fuel tank looks the same as on your mower. Maybe Boundy used the same tank on their various mowers.
If I can find a fire extinguisher of the correct size I should be able to make a tank as extinguishers seem to be made of two halves welded together, same as the Boundy fuel tanks.
