Tried this mower again today, it had been starting ok but i hadnt run it for more than a few minutes. Today it ran for about 5 mins and then i heard popping sounds, a bit of spluttering and the mower came to a stop. Despite a few attempts i could not get it started again, it has spark and petrol is getting through but it feels like it has lost compression. I changed the head gasket and the crankcase gasket, also replaced the piston rings. I'd have to say the mower was running a little rough but it was running. Had a look at the piston and it looks ok. I thought i flooded the engine but i ran the air compressor through the spark plug hole and waited an hour but still no start. Any suggestions about what to do next?
