Hi everybody

I am new to this forum an have found a lot of the info on this site interesting. I have an old kirby 2 stroke engine that is out of an old Deckson mini bike that i want to over haul. The engine has good compression, no spark and is really in need of a strip down and rebuild. Can any one help me out with parts for this engine. Parts needed would be head and crank gaskets, maybe rings, seals and bearings. The engine cowl or cover is in bad condition (Rusted badly)and needs major repair or better still,replacement. The engine has H1-5A stamped on it. Can anyone shed any light or tell me anything about this engine and does it have the same parts as other kirby engines or if anyone can help me out with second hand parts i would be greatfull.

Well I started to do some work on the kirby engine over the xmas break and had some luck. After degreasing the engine and cleaning the carby I took the points out and cleaned all the connectors and refitted them, put the flywheel back on and to my amazement there was a really good spark. Then I connected an old fuel tank and got the engine to fire. After adjusting the points gap and advancing the timing the engine actually ran really well. I still would like to strip it down and replace the seals and bearings and assume they would be common parts that I should be able to find easily but I would need a set of gaskets. I require a Cowl and the front cover for the air cleaner if anyone can help me out (are they common parts that fit other models?) I would gladly buy them off you. I don't think the exhaust is the original as it has flymow printed on it. I have taken some pictures of the bike and the engine but I took the engine out before I took the photos. If anyone can help me out with any info on this engine that would be great.

Hi Again
In my first post I said the engine was a kirby H1-5A please disregard this that is a typo. It is actually a Kirby H11-5A. Sorry about that stuff up.
