Hello I have a VC160 Mark 3 that when I worked for Sunbeam Canada we imported to sell here . The sales staff were pretty poor as they dropped them a few years later. However my blade nut is wearing away and is the nylon lock is worn out.I have been to the 2 fastener suppliers we have here in Nova Scotia and no luck . I expect to ship from Australia to Here is too costly. However if I can find some used or new parts fairly priced I may get them. I really love this machine.I could use some other parts as well .I may put a list on here and see how that works out . I worked on many as I was the Tech for Sunbeam for over 20 Years and I now have my own shop since 1993.
Thanks for reading , 73 , Tom Ve1ta

Tom, Check out the online store in site links (left hand side box of the Forum) as the parts are not that expensive and the freight should not be to bad depending on how you wish to ship. We have shipped to England which is expensive as it is twice the distance and I assume the pricing was ok otherwise they would not have purchased. If you get a list together we can quote what the freight would be to Canada but the mail system there is not the best as I have relatives there and it is slow and sometimes goes missing.

Thanks

Hi Bruce . I did check there before I posted. I just found my service branch Spare Parts Manual 1972-73 VC160 Auto-Drive VICTACODE V109.This is a photocopy that was Issued from our head office. I see now where the problem is.I found your carb info and the list I have does not show CRO as a prefix and they added a - in the number. The carb is G3 Governed style. Index numbers 12 or 12A , 21 .
The rear 8" drive wheels . Also do I need to change the Gears on the transmission Part#82716 RH , 82717 LH that drive the wheels.? I contacted Victa Many years ago by fax and I seem to remember that was in the reply that I would need to change those as well.
This maybe a long shot , there was a deflector to use when you did not use the catcher. 82726 , just a thought , thanks Tom
Also thanks for the warm welcome Darryl.
Regards , Tom
