Gadge got me thinking about this issue.
SC did use the Kirby Starter and cup.
The GE-D numbers are Kirby.




This starter is the high energy spring one that raised
concern in service (with un-trained folk attempting to
remove the spring from its case.

As Gadge said, Victa used them on their engines.
Note that the starter cups are different as explained in
Service Guide 17 & 21.
