Thank you for the additional references and photos.
I've seen a post on here somewhere showing a machine fitted with the round air filter, but no mention of part number or where to get one. Will see if I can find the post again and ask the member.
For the missing link from the governor to the carbie, I used a piece of B&S throttle cable and, before I read your post, by chance and a guess, had made it so it was linked in the full open position. Also cut the spring back a little as it seemed too loose for full throttle position.
Carbie and fuel bowl have been cleaned, but needs gaskets (missing) for the glass bowl and for thread to fuel tank due to leaks.
Rotated motor and can feel the points moving, so haven't touched them yet.
Pulled the push-button kill switch out of the cowling, but still connected, and I could feel a pulse from the plug lead. Checked again in the darkening light last night and it bit me, so cut the end of the plug lead off as it appeared to be faulty in that area. Will let you know when I put a new plug end on it.
I also reviewed your other post (from Google Search) and saw your machine had the KLG F50, so I Googled a cross-reference and it gave these:-
Bosch WR8AP
Champion L90C
NGK B5H5
NGK stk 4210
Looking at your manual, the recommended sparking plug is a Lodge CN 14mm (sparking plug hehehe).
As Gadge mentioned (Thank you Gadge), the NGK equivalent to the Lodge CN is B5H5 also listed in the above cross references.
To help others, I thought it would be handy to list the details of cross-referenced spark plugs for this machine.
Hoping to get spark and then fit some skinny wheels from an old Victa Utility as the newer framed mower wheels are too wide to fit the axle.
Note: The old wheels are held on with the star clips where current ones are C-clip.
May not take much to get this going after-all.
Appreciate the help so far.
