Chas2, was cleaning my mower this morning and noticed a number stamped on the chassis near the forward/reverse pedal,see attached pic for location you may need to clean around the area to find it.

Not positive, but I have a feeling part of the number (mine 2BV-150595) could be the build date.

Yours looks pretty much the same as mine, but as you say an earlier model probably 2-3yrs older.

Will be interesting to get feedback from Greenfield.
