Yeah I understand. I do want to fit a north south engine if possible. The query I have is will a north south fit in my opening. The dealer says difficult if not impossible. I need to get some actual dimensions on a replacement engine to ensure it will fit and will endeavour to get some from the sales people.. Apparently the opening for the east west series was not a big as for the north south. If it was not too much trouble could you measure the length from just in front of the fuel tank to the front of the engine bay. I will measure mine and if the length is the same then I should be able to make it fit.
I'm just put off a bit by the dealers attitude.
Also the actual height of the engine.
I'm not too fussed if I have to alter the engine cover - could always leave it off altogether if it came to that
