Hi!

Hope someone can help with our problem!

Every time the mower is put into idle while running the cutting belt falls off.
Doesn't look like we can tighten bolt where the spring is as the bolt is tightened all the way.
Belt looks like it is on right and cuts well but it only happens when it is put into idle.

Please help!

Hi Highlands Piper,

That is an unusual problem that I haven't encountered before with Greenfields.

What pulley does it jump off first?

Is there any difference with the deck raised or lowered?

Does the belt fall off when the cutter lever is moved to the disengaged position whilst the engine is running above idle?

Hi,

Not sure what pulley it comes off first. We assume it is the engine pulley.
No difference with the deck raised or lowered.
Yes it does fall off when the engine is running above idle.
We wondered if the belt may be a bit loose but it doesn't look as though it is. Whether or not getting a new belt may fix the problem?
Does anyone have a diagram to make sure we have the belt running the right way through the pulleys? We can only find diagrams for the engine belts not the cutting deck belts. Just want to make sure that's all.

Hi Highlands Piper,

This diagram is from my evo 2000 mk11A 34" manual, I'm not sure if it is the same as yours or not.

One step at a time, firstly lets see if that diagram is the same setup as yours, so we know we are on the same page.

Try and take some photos of the machine and the cutting deck and post them, so that we can see if we can spot a problem and offer suggestions, because at the moment we are shooting in the dark without them.
