Hi bassman, BTW, do you play bass? I used to in my band....

Getting back on track, we would like to give you a big warm welcome to the forum; We hope we may be of some help.
To enable us to help; we need the correct name and model of your machine, and what part was replaced last time?
cheers2

If it were inside the carb, possibly the diaphragm has sucked in a bit and it is suckin air in.

The diaphragm should be held by the lip around the edge of the carby, no sealant neccecery.

It would very worth while running a repair kit through it while you have it apart.

Just remember what order the parts go in and you should be right smile
