Hi BB,

Never said "They" were saints. No-one is. I have been involved with this company for over 10 years and can absolutely attest to the loyalty gained from this employer when it is earned. All "big business" have employees that have left under not so great terms. The difference is OTR is and has been a media target for quite some time.

At the end of the day you are entitled to your opinion; I am not trying to sway you or anyone else . I am just giving my account of my experiences.

In 2011 I was in an accident outside of work that rendered me blind in one eye and unable to perform my usual responsibilities. Not only did they help me with my recovery but they gave me a position elsewhere in the company that I could perform and when I was ready (4 months later) I slotted back into my position. in 2013 I broke my elbow and had many screws and plates fitted (again not related to work) and they did the same thing. They waited with me (3 months) until I could perform my responsibilities. I have NEVER asked for a salary increase or benefits however every year my direct supervisor has always ensured I have been looked after.

For every "horror" story I can assure you there are just as many if not more fairy tales.

I do understand your scepticisim however please don't be one of those believe everything you hear people. The team I work with has one member with 14 years tenure, 1 with 12 years, 1 with 10 years, 1 with 9 years, 1 with 7 years and me (10 years). This is out of an 11 member team. We all stick around for a reason.

Anyway; that isn't what this thread is about. I'll stop now.

Pete
