Yer, I have a firm rule these days - never lend anything that cuts. And for stuff I will loan out, I do lay down the law, regarding on-lending being verboten mad .

Which gasket were you after? The carby to engine one is available on its own, and quite cheap if you go aftermarket - https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/index.p...arch_in_description=1&keyword=273113

Then again, the full carby overhaul kit is $31, aftermarket once more - Briggs P/No 494624.

These Pulsa-Jet carbies are pretty simple. With the fuel pickup tube in place on the carby, you won't get much flow by blowing or sucking - there is a flap valve close to its top end.
