norm the gaskets are not at all hard to make .
I would recommend if you don't already have a set to buy a leather punch set .
cost around 12 bucks for 9 punches
if old gasket is destroyed and cant be copyed
I smear the carb face where the gasket sits with grease
I use a large punch to make holes large enough in the gasket paper so I can slide it up to the carb gasket face
the carb gasket face which I have already smeared lightly with grease now will leave a mirror image of the gasket that needs to be cut out
use scissors' to cut out the gasket then the small holes, bolt holes use the punches,
with the larger holes if the punches I have are to small like for fuel pickup pipe ect I just use the largest punch I have which is 1/2 inch and use it to enlarge the hole.
you can make very large holes with a smaller punch
I never buy gaskets pulsa jet , vara jet even crank case gaskets I make them all this way
for carbs i just buy the diaphragms.
leather punchs sets you can buy on ebay
for gasket paper I even use wheetbox paper with good results
if you buy a punch set you need not buy gaskets ever again and no matter what day or time don't need to worry as you can just make one
