Bushy555, sorry I can't help you with your problem, but I notice you are located in NSW.

There is a guy named Terry, who is located in Tahmoor NSW who is a dead-set guru when it comes to Deutscher's and various engines fitted to them.

If he can't help you I would be very surprised as he has around 90 odd secondhand Deutscher mowers of various descriptions that he strips and sells parts off.
