PS: With regards to the Gearbox and prop, I should have added 'these appear to be exclusive to the Gold Cheetah. I'm not sure if they were made by Boundy or specifically for Boundy, but I haven't seen them on any other locally produced outboards.

Also whether the engine was good or bad is of no real consequence to me. The fact is Boundy were prepared to break new ground which made them an innovator.

Most other outboard manufacturers of that time used Villiers, Victa and Hurricane engines and gearboxes/props sourced from Ell-den, Clipper and a few others, essentially producing a 'me too' product.

To their credit, Boundy did their own thing and that in my humble opinion is what makes them so special.
