CyberJack, these engines are fitted Gold Cheetah outboards also produced by Boundy from approx. 1954 through to 1960.
I have 2 complete Gold Cheetah's (1 currently being restored) and the BMS Series 10 engine on its own at the moment. All are of varying age and yet the one plastic cover seems to fit all three equally well.
As soon resto is done (just need to repaint the cowl & tank) I'll post some pics here.
Blue, it would be nice if the covers were made of alloy, but they're not unfortunately. I have 2 now (the one pictured above and another very broken with large sections missing so not repairable) and both are made of the same plastic or bakelite material.
Will have a look on Youtube later tonight, see if I can make a mold from the one pictured above to produce a couple of spares. I'm sure they'll come in handy down the track.
