Yes, the Scout is the least known of the three, and I, too, was surprised that the
name Gold Cheetah was being used in lawnmower advertising rather than the BMS name.

The Boundy story is work in progress, but I hope to offer something shortly.
In 1959, Boundy was advertising production of 1,000 mowers a week. That's not insignificant.
The Boundy engine did not appear on the original Lawn Patrols of course - they were J.A.P.'s.

I think the Boundy engine was introduced some time in 1956.

I would love to get some good photos of your machines, particularly of the engine crankshaft
and ignition system, perhaps with your thoughts on its design...

Was the engine really 'revolutionary' or was its novel ignition, like the 'Magister' (discussed on these forums)
a leap sideways, rather than a great leap forward?
