good tips blumby , i was going to suggest a small bend in the carb' end of cable as its worked for me more than once . only ever seen one was worn so bad the ball popped out in the same throttle position and a slight bend fixed it . or maybe the clamp isnt in correct place to hold outer tight enough ?
