Hi,
I have a vanguard powered generator come into the shop as it surges?? I have checked valve clearences, striped and cleaned the carby and everything seems fine and the engine seems to have done very little work... It starts easy and then the revs just go up and down... I assume it is something to do with the governor.
What it does... so you start it and the engine just pulses... it revs up the governor kicks the throttle back and then as it is dying the throttle shoots back up and the process repeats...
Any help would be appreciated, I don't have alot of experience with governors...
