Are you sure it is the coil, they very rarely fail, but the ignition modules do fail. Have you removed the cap and screwed the screw in a bit further, they can get corrosion in the screw and this will stop it sparking. As for being discontinued I sure hope so because I have probably a hundred of them and that means mine will be going up in value. If it is your coil, drive around your local suburbs and you will probably find a Powertorque dumped on the nature strip and it will have a good coil in it
