My neighbour cleaning out his shed......... I'll hose off the Victa with degreaser, Blow off the Bosch electric mower. and degrease the Ryobi trimmer. It needs its plug lead connected to the curly plug wire thingo and new fuel lines as they have fallen off. I'm falling way behind ............ but I'll charged the Bosch battery 36V li-ion. Might give it to my nephew who is a greenie and wants to go electric........ save the earth from mower fumes, but needs coal powered power stations to recharge the battery. He will just have to build a solar charger.... bingo. I like the noise and smoke.............. speedy

Good score there Speedy. Always good when you don't have to lug them into a car boot - just wheel them home.
I know what you mean by falling behind, I have a Victa TaC I bought last september - haven't even touched it yet. Along with several other things. With regards to the Ryobi trimmer, you could just use a self tapper in the end of the lead Victa style - I did it once when the clip wouldn't stay in.
I used to have greenies over the road - they didn't approve of the Victa's - instead prefering a Ryobi battery mower that needed 2 recharges to do the front weeds
The Victa Sabre cleaned up well, hasn't done much work. Sucked out dirty fuel and put clean fuel in cleaned plug and iar cleaner. It started....... blew smoke for 5 min. I thought it was a dud, but then it must have burned off al the oil. And came clean. I put new oil in and it wouldn't start....... but It will later on.
The Bosch battery charged, but it didn't fire up..... maybe good for spare parts.... A little labour on Labour Day..... I had to have a look... speedy

Good mowers those ( petrol one that is ) most ones Iv'e had with the same issue is due to the mower being tilted too far and has some oil in the exhaust, clean oil of the right grade and a run for 15 minutes is usually enough to fix it.
I put in new oil and didn't want to start........ I took the carb and tank off, cleaned out dirty fuel and dirty diafhram....... And new plug fixed it.. not smoking now. Mowed back lawn, nice smooth near new old mower. Wish I had a place in my shed for keeping it...... It's a good mower for some little old lady who can't afford $50 to get lawn mowed..... The kids of Australia should be doing more mowing for pocketmoney....... Just do a few jobs for battlers a bit cheaper...... cheers speedy
