Hi all

Just wanted to check if anyone else is having a similar problem

The photos in the ODK showcase on the right side of the page have the links to their topic pages. It is in the replying that the issue arises.
It appears you can't add a photo, only word reply - maybe this is how it is designed.

However, any replys don't appear to show in the recent 'topic replies' bar on the left had side.
Additionally, if someone searches in the future for one of the posts, the search yields no results matching, even if the exact title is typed. Effectively, they are lost after new showcases are added.

I believe the errors may stem from the HTML only formatting, where other threads seem to use UBB code (whatever that is )

We do have some issues with the new Showcase Forum.
These are being looked at now.

You are right about the design though - that images can not be
added in reply. There is a good reason for this.

Showcase is not a discussion forum.

Members and Mods may wish to highlight their favourite topics on ODK
and link to them. That is the single purpose of the Showcase.

I'm glad you raised this issue - as we have not updated the
iconography and text on the forums home page.

Understand completely now Jack

I just questioned it because I responded to Seafordphil's second image (fluro green handled Victa 18 with odd rear attachment). I typed, something along the lines of, 'think you may have what remains of an automatic. They originally looked like this.' Grabbed an image of a complete automatic and instinctively went to press the non-existent attachment manager.

No new images in a showcase definitely make sense.
