Hi All,
I recently acquired a Bolens STG150, i've just replaced the blade belt but now the cable that runs from the deck to the blade engagement level has come off the lever.
I have removed the plastic dash but can't tell where the cable should run or exactly how it should connect to the pulley on the lever.
Does anyone have any documentation that shows where this cable should run which they could share?
Thanks, Troy.

Information may no longer be required due to date of the above post but, without an actual model number for the machine, it isn't possible to look up information. The best I can provide is a link to Jacks Small Engines website for Bolens, which has multiple models and years to pick from. Other reading indicates Bolens is made by MTD, so a similar model MTD may give you a clue. https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/manufacturer/bolens

The Bolens STG 150 was built for the Gardenway company by what appears to be by Noma. Their model for it was 13082 and it was built in 1995. With Gardenway now being out of business; actually sold off to Troybilt and then to MTD and Noma also being gone the info is probably lost by now. The Bolens STG 150 also appears to had a Tecumseh 15 hp engine. (OHV15-204012) Here what info I did find. 1996 Gardenway Service Seminar Book

Thank you for the additional information AVB. The Service Manual should be helpful. Using the model 13082, I found an Owners/Operators Manual covering multiple machines on manualslib that may also come in handy. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/18875/Bolens-13048.html

Hi Sorry I ended up fixing this and it works. Don't know why I didnt receive the email when you replied.
The model is: 13069. Serial: 130690100214
it does indeed have that tecumseh 15 on it.
Having a look at the service book linked 13069 is an ST150.
It has STG150 on the one remaining sticker on the bonnet but the model sticker is 13069 which corresponds with ST150.
No idea what the difference is.
I think the belt I have which is a B73 might be too thick and possibly half an inch too long.
I'll look through and see if I can find the belt specifications in those manuals you both have linked to.
thank you, Troy.
