G'day Norm,
These 'newer' models are definitely not my strong suit- if fact all I've ever done to them is part them out.
I tried to have a bit of a look at the IPC in the manuals section (finally found it) but it wouldn't open properly.
I've got one out in the shed. Let me have a look at it today.
......belt adjustment on these newer machines is a bit of a constant. Would be good to get to the bottom of it all.
Cheers,

G'day prd, I think I have worked it out, sort of, going back through some old posts it seems there could be 2 belts for these, no idea why, but there was talk of an A100 belt and the A102 belt which is the GT120 belt that is supposed to fit. On googling around the only one I came up with was the 5XL but I have since found out the adjuster is not the same. The anniversary has 3 holes on both the rear idler wheels,( the pics I was looking at seemed like the hole was slotted but my mate has confirmed that the have the three holes. Hopefully he will be able to get the belt on so I don't have to drive up and do it. Cheers Norm

Ok just as an update on this cutter belt problem, ended up using the shorter belt which I think is an A100 and had to slot out one of the holes one one of the rear idler pulleys to get the belt tension right and now it is mowing as it should and my mate is a happy chappie. No idea why the original belt ended up going loose, as it had been working fine before we fitted the new motor.

Ok so I am back to my mates Greenfield that has somehow chewed up the drive belt again. I have to explain to him how to release the tension on the spring tension ratchet rod so he can fit a new idler pulley and belt. I remember last time I did I dismantled half the bodywork to get to the rod to release it but from what I remember it was simpler than that but I have forgotten how it was done. Once the spring is removed somehow you can move the rod backwards over the ratchet but I can't remember how I did it. Anybody got any tips and if it can be done without pulling the bodywork around the steering off because we can't remove the steering wheel? Trust me I tried that some years ago when I had it in the press and the only thing that was going to happen was the steering wheel was going to break.

G'day Norm,
Sorry, meant to reply earlier but needed to look at the Anniversary in the shed first as I've never done a belt change on one of these before. Unfortunately there is not enough of the drive tensioner left for me to look at in order to help with your question. I notice there is an owners manual for the Evolution in the manuals section and it seems to be a similar setup (?).
Sorry I can't be more help.
Cheers,

Thanks prd all good, my mate took the spring off and he was able to move it in and out but mine is rock solid and I guess I will have to remove the bodywork to free it up. Not sure if it is rusted or stuck on the ratchet
