I have a Greenfield Evolution 3/10.5 which I am refurbishing as a retirement project.
I would like to replace the 10.5 with a 12.5.Is the mounting bolt footprint the same for both engines?Both are flat head engines.

G'day Rocky and welcome. I am sure the bolt patterns are the same. Someone better informed will chime in and confirm.

so I'm thinking they are the same. looking at the list you may have a bonnet issue?

I've just pulled a dead 12HP off a Kingcat Puma and replaced it with a 10.5. The bolt pattern is standard Briggs on both engines.

Trev are they the same overall? So would you assume that the hood will still fit or do you think there may be clearance problems somewhere?

There is very little difference between the 10.5 and the 12. I can't imagine being much different for a 12.5. Both about 300mm tall and 400 x 400 including the integrated fuel tank. Only difference I struck was the throttle linkage position, you may need to replace the throttle cable with a longer one going up to the 12.5 as I had to shorten the one to go to the 10.5. It has a horizontal slide whereas the 12 had a vertical slide.

Thanks for the info.Pattern is same for both models.Compared each sump number and they are the same number.Regards.
