Hi guys, after rebuilding the transaxle in the ride on I recently bought I'm now facing a problem with the brake setup. It appears that the previous owner/service centre modified the brake system and the photos I took before stripping it all down don't show enough detail on how it goes back together.

The part I'm talking about here is the brake rod where it connects to the brake attachment on the transaxle.

The image above shows the missing part but even that doesn't show how the brake control system goes together.

It also doesn't show a rear to front image on how the parts go together.

I have a spring, 2 washers, a castellated nut and a split pin.

Do these parts go between the transaxle case and the brake control level or between the brake control lever and the castellated nut?

Above is a simple image hopefully showing my predicament?

Question:- Any idea how I can order the missing part when it's not listed in the parts listings at all?

Hoping someone can help me here...

Cheers

Hi Steve,

The reason that Husqvarna doe not show the part in there parts list is because the transmission is not made by them. You will need to supply the model of the transmission in order to get a brake down of it so that the correct part can be supplied. cheers2

Thanks Bruce, I feel so stupid that I didn't check out the Transaxle pictures before posting about the brake system.

My Transaxle doesn't have that missing part and I worked out how to put it all back together.

The ride on is working as new now as far as the transaxle goes any way..

Now I need to look at shimming the front end a bit to tighten all the play in the steering linkages and to stop the wheel wobble and wandering steering.

Cheers
