Hey all,

Can someone please tell me what the points gap should be for a victa twin?

I am working through issues with one with no spark. took the flywheel off and cleaned up the points, reset them to 0.2mm, put everything back together and got good strong spark ... for 2 sparks mad Then nothing. Too late at night to be pulling it apart now. I think I didn't tighten it up properly and it slipped. perhaps now the points gap is too big again but I won't know until later this week.

At any rate is 0.2mm correct? (I measured the gap on my other twin which had good strong spark until it rolled off my work bench and CRAAAACK!!!)

Thanks,
Pete.

Thanks Vccomm.

landed upside down on the front cylinder - casting cracked right through ... now it's only for spares. serves me right though. sitting it on a bench that I KNEW sloped down. One of those times you act first and think after the crash, bang, swear!!!!

Thanks Cyber Jack. I'll have a look at it when I get around to it - not going to rush this one again!
