See if you can rig up some sort of explosive device to the kill switch ... That'll scare the grass so much it won't grow back! Pete

goodo , so you tried starting it yet ? is the cutout working on it , if you can see it which it looks like you can clearly , put it all the way to stop and you should see the centre pin (grey/white one) move towards the brown or black wire if it moves it should be ok , if it doesnt ? you can pull out both wires fr the mpment and just touch them together to kill it if it runs away or just pull of plug lead . what did you pull apart just the float/primer cap or all of it . if all of it did you make sure the bit with 3 points is in the slots inside the carb' body ?

no I havent tried to start it yet. I pulled the primer cap off and the cap on the side, took off the plate connecting to the poppet vv had a look its all in the right spot, set it to C. put it back together. I forgot to put the belt on correctly so will have to take the blades off and loosen the motor. then i will test it

maybe a job for you tomorrow then while your out swing buy and grab some correct paper or a shop and pick up some head n base gaskets . in all the rush maybe you broke a ring fitting the piston back in rings didnt look too good anyway . if you fitted a known good carb and it still does same thing then its internal as i said if you get a leak from base gasket or anywhere it wont run or run so badly you wish it didnt take your time , look at things a lot harder , relax and enjoy it . good to learn yes , but better to learn to do it right 1st time and not rush it mate some 20' over rings and some new gaskets maybe a bottom seal too now you know how to get at it and should be allgood
