Well, after the BIG Trip I'm a very happy chappy yay ( awesome movie by the way)
Today the Whatever is out there (gods) shone on me. I found a seized pully bearing that was
stopping the belt from moving, so off the belt comes & hey Presto the motor now moves freely.
Some fuel in the tank, turn on valve (thar she blows) fuel flow in to carby (smile building) had to hold choke on as no cable connected, two quick pulls. I left the throttle lever half way and she started on the third go, YEEHAA!
Basically she's in fantastic condition for a "75" model (from engine code)
Here's some photos

I found myself a donor for $25, well it found me, I got put on to this by a bloke I bought a Greenfield catcher from in country Victoria. He has a running HD8 lined up for me when I want it, as well. Amazing how friendships start from simple common interests (collecting)

Evening All,
the cutter clutch was an easy fix, just a plastic bush on the engagement lever needed replacing. Had some wheelbarrow wheel bushes & I had one which was a perfect fit. woot

Now it's a Beaut wee machine. best Grey nurse I ever spent...
next is the body work & engine painting

I was doing a bit of work yesterday on a mates Evolution and I do like the steering setup on those much better that the early Greenies. I wanted to tip it upside down and have a look at how they have done it but my mate wasn't interested

That looks like it, I had to pull one of the tie rods off and straighten it because it was bent, but it certainly works well, much lighter that the earlier ones
