Just like to know if any one can tell if the two pedal assembleys part nos.are/A10405 /A10592 to suit a rover rancher as when i try to revurse it will not move. the pedal that is on mower now hits the foot rest when you try to move backwards. thank you if you can help me out. Kevin waddington.

If the pedal has run out of movement, it sounds as if the linkage that attaches to it is worn, or the clutch is worn, allowing it to move further than it should. Have you seen that the pedal is broken, or are you just saying it moves too far?

There are many different models of Rancher. Can you tell us which one you have?

the model of the rover rancher is 28167/198and serial no 2427184. also there is a parts number 12796 if it means anything. any idea what year it is please. Kevin

The nearest information we have is for model 28168/198, which is an Autodrive model. Is yours Autodrive? The parts list we have was last revised in 2004 - the model would still have been in production then.

Yes it is Autodrive there is no gear leaver just forward and reverse foot pedal.

With that wheel-drive system, which is similar to the one used by Greenfield, failure to drive in one direction only is likely to be due to a fault in the automatic belt tensioner. With the Greenfield it is forward drive that fails. I'm not familiar enough with the design of your machine to work out whether it would be forward or reverse drive that would be lost.

Just want to let you know that i had some luck with the foot pedal by ajusting the slide down near the foot rest slso the only other thing i did was put a new set of brake pads on maybe there was to much free play but all is well she now goes forward and reverse. It sounds as if there was some wear in the reverse clutch and/or the linkage and you have now adjusted it to take up the slack. Glad you've got it working - I'll close this thread.
