Hi ange, welcome to Outdoorking. At this point I'm not clear whether you are talking about the foot brake, the parking brake, or the cutter brake. The parking brake is a simple mechanism that locks the foot brake in the down position when you pull the lever. The cutter brake is entirely separate from the foot brake. Taking a guess that you mean the foot brake, this is the only diagram provided in the manual:
[Linked Image]

It seems to be a miniature disk brake operated by a lever and cam.

If this does not solve the problem, please post some pictures of the bits and where they go, so we can discuss it in more detail.

Hi mate
Many thanks for the reply. l am talking about the foot brake, sorry l wasn't clear before
l am not sure how it goes back together, because l
took the gearbox off to re grease etc
The rod l think only goes on one way at the foot pedal
but where it connects to disc something not sitting right
l will take some pics and send them. Sorry to be a pain.
l should have taken a pic beforehand
cheers buddy

Try to identify both ends of the part you think is causing the problem, with photographs of how you have been putting it together. If we can see it properly we may be able to suggest how it should be assembled.
