I have just acquired an old Atco 14 inch cylinder mower with a 4 stroke engine. As I'm unfamiliar with the 4 stroke variety of Atcos, and as there's no model identification plate on the mower, I'd like to try to identify this engine.
The serial number is 46C1-62423 if that helps.
(Can provide a photo if required.)

I didn't take a pic of the flywheel side, but it's just an open pulley for rope start.

Hi GTC and ODK members,
The engine is a Villiers Mk 7 it has a 50mm bore and a 38mm stroke. They are rated at about 1.3bhp. These engines were fitted to 14, 17 and 20"(domestic)mowers. The heavy duty 20" machines were fitted with Villiers Mk 12 or Villiers 730E engines.
Cheers,
Sir Chook
