I'm working on a Victa 80 series 160cc mower and can't get the flywheel off. The cup and nut came off the top really easily but does anyone know how to get the flywheel off after that?

Hi ArnieVicta, and a warm welcome to the forum. grin
It is nice to have you aboard.

Joe Carroll, our Victa guru, has made a flywheel puller for the purpose...like this:

Joe goes on to say, My puller is home made but works very well, it threads into the 3 holes around the main nut and with the center nut removed, the big bolt on this puller pushes on the crankshaft and heaves it off.

You do need to be careful as I have managed to buckle one crank before from the flywheel being so tight, sometimes leaving the center nut on but loose to get it started is a good idea.
What I would suggest is giving the area around the shaft a good soaking with Penetrene before trying to get it off; (ie) you need to get the Penetrene to soak in between the crankshaft and the center of the flywheel before you pull the flywheel off. wink

Once again ArnieVicta, :welcome: to OutdoorKing.
cheers2
