Does anyone know any info such as age, timing, point gap, fuel mixture, plug, paint colour including coat of arms (lion & unicorn) with brand decals and more importantly were to find parts in Australia (preferably Brisbane) of this particular mower??? The motor is a villiers 2 stroke with su type carbie. The heads cooling fins slant at approx 30 degrees from horizontal. The inlet is also cast into the head. The carbie sits behind the engine and the exhust is on the opposite side at the front

In Regard to the reccomended spark plugs for Atco mowers. There where two types of Villiers Engines used on Atco Mowers, both with different Cylinder heads. A 14 mm and an 18 mm. The 14 mm took a Champion L90 spark plug and the 18 mm took a Champion D16 plug.
Hope this is of some assistance. Let me know how you go

Regards Ben.

Ben,
I must have the 18mm head as I already have a D16 Champion plug. This plug seems to run fine however I also have a D21 which is a hotter plug. I have tryed it however the mower was not tuned properly at the time. The points gap was too big and firing to early before top dead centre. I also thing it was running to rich at the time as the plug continually fouled up. I might give it another go as it is running better at the moment. Then again maybe I should leave it. Tell me what you think.
Thanks Ben

The fuel mixture should be about 16:1 with basic 2-stroke oil or engine oil.the gap should be between 20-25 thou.the ignition timing should be so the piston is 5/32 of an inch before tdc and the pionts just about breaking.let me know if you want a copy of the original manual scanned and sent in an e-mail,my address is : mail@sabbath41.freeserve.co.uk
