Hi All'
I have encountered a problem with breaking blades on a Yardstar (Kamodo) lawn edger. Blades break through the center hole long before the blade is worn out. I have contacted the importer and checked their suggested causes and found no fault within the edger that could be causing the breakages. The importer says that they are not experiencing problems with blade breakage but I find that hard to believe as I am breaking blades with very little use.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I really want to get to the bottom of this as I do not feel comfortable with the safety aspects of this problem.
Regards,
Gary

Hi Gary, welcome to outdoorking, these guys here are a wealth of knowledge. Some pics of your machine and the offending blade might shed some light on the subject. Ta, Luke

Usually a issue like this may be caused by a: incorrect mounting hole diameter, b: spacer/clamp washers of incorrect offsets.

Regards, Gary Gary, These are a Chinese made product and have had issues as far back as July 2008 (i.e. starters being put on incorrectly)and if you buy the blades from them I would suggest buying from another supplier because the issue appears to be a heat treatment issue with the hardening of the blades.
