hey Ty
have got a 550 gear box coming my way at the moment will soon see if they are similar.
only need the end gears so we will see.
think the hardest part is the handle. i do believe the gear box is in working condition at this stage

If not let Ty know I know he's got parts I just want the drive cable off one that I left with him,not the gear box.

what type of handle do they have , a bar or just the lever ?

The vc160 autodrive pictured at the top of this thread should have a bar to operate theself propelled funtion.

He should have the same one as yours as I had one I left there as it wasn't complete.All I want off it is the handle lever(cable).It didn't have a gear box,but I know that he has some.

so i take it the 550 is a wider axle too ? as well as different gearbox , lever , cable ?

I think so,but I haven't played with a 550 myself.I think they are silty bigger,so it could (and don't quote me)possibly not fit.Sorry I can't give you any more than that as I really don't know.

oh well we are going to experiment a bit then, if the 550 parts are unsuitable ill just pass them on, if someone is chasing them will see how we go.

Ive got that 550 here and theres soemthing wrong with its gearbox.
Ive also been chasing a SP505 and i would assume it could use the same gearbox.
Im in no hurry.
I would like to know about the drive dogs. If the SP power plus and the 550 & 505 use the same ones.

no worries ill keep you in mind if they are unsuitable.
although i believe the gear boxes are seized.
