HI GUYS CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET A NEW DRIVE GEAR FOR MY SB 590.GEAR IS IN THE REAR DRUM

Hi stewie, and a warm welcome to the forum. It's great to have another Scott Bonnar owner on board.

Firstly, at OutdoorKing, we observe forum etiquette by not posting in all capital letters....It appears as though you are angry and shouting. A combination of lower and uppercase is the norm.

The drive gear in your 590 is nylon and is the Achilles heel of that model, always stripping and consequently loss of drive. There is a fabricated replacement metal gear that will last the distance and do the job very well.

On researching the thread I see that grumpy has beaten me to it by a couple of minutes.... Anyhow, great minds think alike....or fools never differ (as my Mum used to say!)

Thanks for your welcome Deejay will try to remenber to switch from caps.Its a new laptop that i am still trying to drive.Will follow advise on thread to lawn machinery services to obtain new drive gear.

Good news. New drive gear has arived for my sb590 all fitted and cutting like a new one.Thanks for the help and happy cutting.
