Hi people, I'm new here and have been looking around the forum for information on a Victa Imperial 16 that my Father gave me because "It doesn't work".
In truth it does but won't drive it's self, I've dismantled it and found that the neoprene/plastic gears in the drum are chewed out due to the washers on either side of the drum being worn, causing it to slightly seperate hence the gear failure.
So the big question is where could I find a set of those gears?

Any help is appreciated.
Regards gnashy

Hi gnash, and a warm welcome to the OutdoorKing forum. It's great to have you aboard.
To enable to us give you some advice, can you please post some pics of your machine including the offending gear assembly and any numbers found on the machine so as we can ascertain the model. wink

I must say at the outset that Imperial spare parts are a bit thin on the ground.... frown
Once again gnash, :welcome: to the forum.

Finally got round to taking those pics, as you can just make out the cogs have been slightly chewed out.

Hi gnash, I have done some research this morning for you...unfortunately I have found no spare parts for the Victa Imperial or (Scott Bonnar 690 series mowers) which were a badge engineered version of the Imperial manufactured in New Zealand by Morrison Industries. I have researched the NZ websites as well. Perhaps you may consider purchasing another Imperial from eBay to use as a machine for parts or restoring one machine out of the two. wink
