I picked up this one today, everything is in pretty good nick, gearbox is good turn over and engages, ive pulled it down to clean it back and give it a new set of seals, eveything is pretty tidy on her aside from missing a few parts such as the drive engage handle, the covers over the drive belt and the drive cable. Something to work on for the time being.

Hi gizmo....Just a heads up...could you please rotate your pics before you post...it makes them much easier to view for our members rather that sitting sideways. I will edit them for you later.
No probs mate...just makes it easier. wink

Hi gizmo, if you download your pics from the camera to say "My Pictures" on your computer, just view them in the folder and if they are horizontal...try right-clicking and see if you have "Rotate Clockwise" in the drop-down menu. Just keep rotating until they are the right way up! Easy-peasy. wink

OK, what you have here is a 1973 Series 2 VC-160 Auto Drive, Code V136.

Series 70 MKIII Engine, with the G3 carby and Decompression "Zip" Starting.

If you need copy's of the gearbox service manual, the engine & Chassis Manual, or parts lists for this one, let me know, and I’ll bring you some copy's.

I'll have a dig around and see what parts I have here that might be of use to you.

Cheers
Ty

I could possibly post a self propelled lever and cable from a power plus victa that might suit (Ty, you are the expert here) They look like similar parts....

I dont think the lever will do it joe, this one used the full lenght metal bar type, like this:

However I'll investigate the cable dimesions, I have a feeling the cable may be the same.

No worries, I'll get everything I can together for this one, including the manuals, and get them across to you.

Joe should be down this way in a few weeks, so we can see if his cable fits for you then!

Sounds good, I should hopefully have the gearbox assembly and the like back together by then to get a good idea weather the cable will be a similar size.

That would be ideal, I think there is some parts around the drive assembly that might be missing, it would be good to work out what's not there.

Cool cheers mate, My gearbox is in fair condition the main part that'sissing I think is only the parts that retain the drive cable. But I'm just not sure what is usually there.

Cheers
