I have a B&S 92502, it runs fine, but every half a minute or so, there is a screeching sound, and the starter cord unwinds a bit. Any ideas what might cause this?
The starter clutch bearing surface is dry of lubrication, take off the blower housing, and remove the screen, and pry off the cover to the clutch, pull the square post off and oil the crankshaft surface lightly with motor oil, reassemble and bingo, problem solved
