Please tell me it will only be restricted to cheap models!
I can understand the business sense but it would be a shame to shut down the Australian operations permanently.
Will the 2 stroke motor production be shifted over there?
Please give me the latest on this.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Mowerfreak,

To my knowledge the assembly is done here in Australia on the upper priced brands and the lower end are completely made in China.

As to parts I am sure that you can bet that they are all made in CHINA.

Victa has joined all the others in chasing MONEY instead of customer satisfaction.

The way things are going everywhere.
Australian consumer's fault really. We chase price above satisfaction with a quality product.
I will have to find out if components such as wheels, engines and carby bits are still fabricated here.
I am not expecting too many good answers.

Don't like to be bringing up dead threads, but is there any new information on which Victa's, and which PARTS of Victa's are made here and which made in China?

The Victa Website claims that the 2 stroke engines are still made here in Aus, and the mowers are assembled here. Guess that means the wheels, etc are made in China?
