Had a Victa Commando dropped of to me yesterday.Paid $15 for it.I was told that it would start but not run.After looking at it for a few seconds,I noticed it was leaking oil.So I took of the fuel cap and all I could was oil in the tank.So I drained the oil and and the carby.Put in a fresh batch of fuel and on the second pull it run.It didn't stop.While it was running it started making a funny noise.The blade disc had come loose.After Ty changed the washer and the boss.It was all good.Not bad for $15.Here some pictures and the you-tube link.Just to show you how much it was smoking after it got going.

No I didn't get that,but I have one from a similar model that fits it.

I bought my sister in law a Pulan trimmer not long back, $40 off eBay. It wasnt that old and its easier than me fixin hers coz i hate them wipper snipper things. It was going gangbusters then she was having a whinge about it not running right. Looked at it and what not, need the choke on to run and it was going like crap. Shes a bit of a DIY tragic, full points for trying but not much for listening. I tactfully sorted it out, asked a few probing innocent questions about the fuel, turns out she had a new mixing bottle and didnt do it right, had the fuel mixed at 10:1 instead of 40:1. Fresh brew and off it went.

Sorry all this one's not for sale.This is my lawn mower,that I'm actually going to use to mow my lawns.
