Here is another Consul 2 that I won on eBay.Thankfully Bob had picked up for me.


I'm hoping that I can repair the base on this one.If not then I will just use it for parts that are needed for my other Consul 2.

Pretty sure the base is gunna be past it so dont stop looking.


Will know a bit more tomorrow when i get a chance to have a look at it.

Well maybe I just strip the base and use the parts then.Would like to find another base then.

Im still waiting to eyeball those other 4 i was told about in Geelong. They had a few old Victas and a twin so these 4 might be good 'treasure'

[Censored] I knew the base wasn't good,but it has been butchered as well.I was wondering what the piece on the side was now I know.It's a modified height adjuster.I take it that means the plastic piece is not there.[Censored] I needed another one of those.Does it still have the rear axle clips on it? Fingers crossed here hoping they are there.

Have you got any more happy snaps of this fine spare parts machine?

Well I want to see if it has the back axle clips.Also if the leaf guard under the starter is alright.Nothing to specific.Also does it turn over? and does it have the filter element inside the air box?

Damn thing, pulling on the air cleaner lid and it popped off and jambed my thumb on the edge of the engine cover. Got me right up across the base of my thumbnail, thats the cuticle isnt it? Its gone a bit black.
Air cleaner is a bit past it.

Leaf guard looks OK. Ya wont know for sure untill you take the starter off.

Turns over but its tight. The starter recoils slowly.

Pulled the cap off the fuel tank, its pretty ordinary in there, Stinkin bad big time.

Did you feel the thumb from there???

Hurt like hell for 2 days, then for the past three the white bit at the top of my nail has slowly gone black. Hmmm not sure what its gunna do. At least its not hurting any more.

But you get that. Damn thing got me good.

Actually yes I did feel the pain,but I don't think it was in my thumb.It went straight to my two broken teeth.Can't wait for tomorrow I have the [Censored] things taken out.

No not as yet as it is still in storage in Canberra.Trying to find the best way to get them up here.
