Has it got one longer one, and one shorter one, if it does, then the longer one goes into the hole, and the shorter one across. check the smaller rubber boot fits in well first, then put in the long one, after checking the larger boot is in good shape (this one helps it return to the running position) slide it over, and lock it in with the short one running across both.

If both pins are the same size, just make sure to push them in well, otherwise, if you can replace one with a long pin.
Also, with the cross-pin, the tip should point toward the diagram cap at an angle.
