But anyway I had the pleasure of testing the prototype of this unit as a 12 year old kid in the Georges River at Lugarno.
2 years later my brother and I owned the same unit and ran it untill it rusted out.
Was flat out against a tide...
2 knots was optimistic in a 12' tinny with 2 kids onboard.
My brother and I ran it on a few different boats.
Ran best with a vacuum cleaner hose with the end underwater
My neighbor, Len Markham (Owner of Australian Tool and Jig at Revesby) owned the toolmaking factory who did the tooling for the drive unit hence the provision of a prototype to him.
