I'm in process of rebuilding a Victa 8-26E Series 7 lawnmower and really need a lot of info on this machine since I spent all afternoon googling and the only helpful thing that I came up with is this forum. The machine is fitted with a B&S 8hp mod.192707 type 0025-01 motor with electric start but I'm not sure if this is original. It seems to be modified?? I need a new carb for this. Are there any other carburettors that will fit except the original B&S ? I'm also looking for the complete blade assembly or will have to build my own so any pics or info on what it should look like will be most welcome. Are there any manuals available for this machine? I tried the forum search function but could not come up with anything yet. Thanks

Olivier, We have the parts list that you are looking for in the parts list and manuals area of the forum, which you need to subscribe to in order to be able to view the area and download parts manuals etc. At any time you can't find what you need just post on the forum and we will do our best to give you the correct info including manuals etc. You can download the owners manual and parts list HERE for free. As to another carby working on the engine, myself I have not tried that. Parts you can usually get from the online store and if it is not there just send a request to them and if it is available they will upload it very quickly at very reasonable pricing.

Thank you sir. I only have one problem. My bank (and all other banks in SA) refuses to authorize international transfers even by credit card! Apparently there is some law governing international transfers of money. 15 Ozzie $$ seems like a fair price to pay for access to the information, I only need to figure out how to get it to you. My daughter just started an online course on Horse acupuncture that is presented by a guy in Australia and I'm experiencing huge difficulty to transfer the money there. Can't do Paypal or credit card. It will have to be an international money transfer made by the bank and for that I need written confirmation. Will let you know as soon as I worked my way around the problem.

Olivier, We are located in Sydney not overseas only the site is hosted in the USA because they offer service not like the companies here in OZ. If you need to see the location just go to and click contact us in the online store. Good luck with the acupuncture course.

Bruce, I wonder if you and Olivier mean different things by 'SA'. Given the currency restrictions, I'm interpreting it as 'South Africa'.

LOL, I never realised "SA" could perhaps mean something like Southern Australia too. Yes, I'm in South Africa. I actually visited yet another bank yesterday and the only way they can help me is through Western Union and only if I transfer money to the private bank account of a relative living abroad.

Hi guys. Just popping in to say that I have not forsaken you. I still plan on keeping you posted on the rebuild but I have not started yet. Nothing ever turns out the way it was planned. I have in the meantime aquired an almost new exhaust from the scrap metal merchant and carby, a new fuel tank and also a complete spare motor wich is apparently in a running condition. I have included a few pics of the Victa series 7 but please note that this is NOT my machine. Mine is in a much worse condition than the one shown. I found this one on evil bay. I will post pics of mine as soon as I start the rebuild. ![[Linked Image from i289.photobucket.com]](http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll212/bladelogic/victa3.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i289.photobucket.com]](http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll212/bladelogic/victa2.jpg)
