I was looking on the web for Scott Bonnar info and found nothing. No web site, no reference to any machines and no one appears to be selling them. There is always plenty for sale in the local papers(Australia) yet they appear like a ghost on the web. Are they Australian and if so does anyone know the history behind them? Reason being I looked at one yesterday and it had a 2 stroke villiers motor on it which had the same head as a Ransomes. It would have to be in the 50s time bracket. Anyone know anything on this?
Thankyou

Hi there bruce and Drew
Just tried 3 search engines for the Rover website and all came up blank. For what it is worth S/B were an Adelaide based manufacturer making reel mowers and gang mowers for golf courses and Bowling greens etc. The had a workshopand retail h>Q in Oakleigh In Vic and later on got tied up with Flymo I think firstand trded as Flymo Scott=Bonnar and then as Rover from the same address. Rover had its H.Q for Vic not far away in Edward St . Snowy Jarvis was THE rep for Scott-Bonnar in those days and covered all of Victoria . Rteailers Golf clubs ..the lot.He was a very dynamic man and certainly knew his job well. Hope this helps Joe
