I've picked up a "new generation" cox CR5326 which is in need of a new clutch cone. These are somewhat different from the old Cox's I have worked on but they still have the cone
Questions
1. Any idea what size the head is on the top of the clutch bolt? I'll have to purchase the right socket as I have nothing that large
2. Single belt on this model. I'm assuming its still release the linkage and drop the cutch assembly from underneath?
3. Once the cutch assembly is out whats the best way to unthread the pulley from the shaft?

Hi Swamprat96,

A manual may help https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0802/9614/9295/files/COX_New_Generation_19-5398A-5302G-5303L.pdf

To check a nut / bolt head size get a Vernier or just cut some tin or cardboard to the nut size then measure that with a ruler.

Cheers
Max.

Ok for anyone coming behind me- the "new generation" clutch cone is way easier to replace than older models (this is 2005 so not young smile ). They put a bolt at the end of the clutch shaft underneath - no mk,ore wreatlin to take the unit apart. Push the belt idler wheel in and release the belt, remove the clutch linkage - remove the single bolt that holds the clutch yoke on and the whole assembly drops out on the rear right hand side. Really so much easier that it used to be
